I. Our Story
Three generations. Two continents. One craft.
Julius Krasner opened Krasner's Jewelers in downtown San Diego in 1943. On the other side of the world, Milton's father Louie ran his own jewelry store in Johannesburg. Milton started in the San Diego jewelry trade in 1980, earned his Graduate Gemologist diploma from GIA in 1998, and opened the La Jolla studio in 2001. Daniel joined in 2026 as the third generation.
We've stayed small on purpose. Every client works directly with a Krasner, from the first conversation to the final inspection.
II. Our History
Krasner's Jewelers opens in San Diego.
Julius Krasner opens the store downtown, selling diamonds, watches, and military jewelry.
A full house.
Julius and Irving Krasner grow the store to a full staff, with display cases along both walls.
Johannesburg.
Louie Krasner, Milton's father, runs his own jewelry business in South Africa.

Milton Krasner starts his career in the San Diego jewelry industry.
GIA Graduate Gemologist.
Milton earns his Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America.

Milton opens Krasner Jewelers in La Jolla, by appointment only.

Daniel Krasner, also a GIA Graduate Gemologist, joins the studio.
